GCG gender equality policy
A fair, inclusive and respectful working environment where all people, regardless of gender, have equal opportunity to contribute, develop and lead.
Issued: 4 February 2026 · Last reviewed: 17 July 2026
Global Consortium Group (GCG) is committed to creating a fair, inclusive and respectful working environment. Gender equality is a core part of our mission to strengthen governance, public safety and operational resilience across the organisations and communities we serve. This policy applies to everyone working on a GCG engagement: consortium members, associates and subcontractors. GCG delivers through independent members rather than employees, so these obligations are terms of the member contract, are covered at induction, and are checked at engagement review.
1. Principles we stand by
- Fairness and respect. We treat everyone working on a GCG engagement — consortium members, associates, subcontractors and client staff — with the same respect, and we hold them to the same standard. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or gender-based bias in any form.
- Equal opportunity. Recruitment, access to engagement work and appointment to leadership roles are decided on clearance, capability and performance — not gender.
- Transparency and accountability. We maintain clear governance processes and hold ourselves accountable for creating an inclusive culture.
2. How we support gender equality
Recruitment and access to work
- Gender-neutral role descriptions and selection criteria when we recruit consortium members and associates
- The same route into engagement work and lead roles for every member, whatever their gender
- The Compliance Lead monitors gender representation across engagement and lead roles
Leadership and decision-making
- Every leadership appointment is made from a shortlist that includes candidates of more than one gender, and the Managing Partner records the shortlist
- Every consortium member has the same access to leadership development, whatever their gender
- Succession planning for leadership roles follows the same shortlist rule
Work–life balance and culture
- Consortium members work remotely by default and set their own hours, except where a client site or a clearance condition requires attendance in person
- We do not treat caring responsibilities as a reason to withhold engagement work
- A culture that supports wellbeing and inclusion
Induction and awareness
- Every consortium member and associate is taken through this policy at induction
- Safeguarding and anti-harassment obligations are terms of the member contract
3. Safety, safeguarding and zero tolerance
GCG maintains a strict safeguarding and anti-harassment framework: zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination or abuse; clear and confidential reporting channels; whistleblower protections; and immediate escalation and investigation procedures. These standards apply across all jurisdictions in which we operate.
4. Data, monitoring and continuous improvement
We collect and review gender-disaggregated data to understand representation, progression and participation across the consortium. The Compliance Lead evaluates our progress each year and collects feedback from consortium members, associates and clients. The Compliance Lead updates the Gender Equality Plan every two years and records in it what changed as a result.
5. Public transparency
The full Gender Equality Plan sits behind this policy; email info@globalconsortiumgroup.com for a copy. The Compliance Lead owns this policy and the Plan, and reviews both on the dates in section 4. Our ethical engagement statement sets out how we choose engagements.
