Craig Walsh

Craig’s most recent role was as the Group Executive General Manager of Investigations for Crown Resorts which he held for 18 months.  Prior to that role he was the Executive Director Security and Surveillance at Crown Melbourne where for 13 years he led over 600 staff protecting the Casino’s property, patrons, employees and revenue.  He has also consulted widely in the security, emergency management and counter terrorism space for many years conducting security reviews of many of Australia’s top universities.  As part of the Business Advisory Group, he provided expert advice for over 10 years as an industry expert to the Australia New Zealand Counter Terrorism Committee’s Crowded Places Sub Committee. 

Craig was a Commissioned Officer with Victoria Police prior to joining Crown and has 24 years policing experience including major crime investigation (armed robbery/homicide), tactical policing (Special Operations Group), media and reputation management (Media Unit) and training (Operational Safety Division).  He is a Churchill Fellow, Williamson Community Leadership Program graduate and holds Masters’ degrees in public administration and education along with a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree among numerous other qualifications.

Craig has also worked in elite sport over many years conducting Leadership Programs for teams including the Collingwood/Port Adelaide Football Clubs and the Perth Wildcats Basketball Club along with pre-season programs for many AFL teams as well as the NRL’s Melbourne Storm for the last 22 years.
